Ms. Erin Lentini, Principal

In 2004, Erin Lentini began her teaching career in Bay Shore at South Country School, where she first served as a reading teacher before moving into a third-grade classroom. In 2015, she brought her passion for early childhood education to Fifth Avenue Elementary School, where she taught kindergarten. Most recently, Mrs. Lentini has proudly served as the assistant principal at both Brook Avenue and Mary G. Clarkson Schools.

Mrs. Lentini earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education and a Master of Education in Literacy from Providence College. She also holds Certificates of Advanced Study in School Building and District Leadership from The College of Saint Rose.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Lentini has been dedicated to building a school community where strong relationships, open communication, and a shared commitment to excellence in education are at the heart of everything she does. She values teamwork and believes that collaboration with staff, students, and families is essential to creating a positive and supportive learning environment.

Mrs. Lentini is honored and excited to continue working alongside the incredible students, staff, and families of Mary G. Clarkson School.

Ms. Kayleigh Navarra, Assistant Principal

Kayleigh Navarra began her teaching career in Jacksonville, North Carolina as a third-grade teacher before returning home to Long Island, N.Y., to join the Bay Shore School District. She taught grades 3–5 at Gardiner Manor School before transitioning to Mary G. Clarkson School in 2022, where she served as the STEAM Instructional Specialist.

Ms. Navarra holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Childhood Education from SUNY College at Old Westbury and a Master’s of Education in Learning and Emerging Technologies from Empire State University. She also earned a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Building Leadership and School District Leadership at Molloy University.

Ms. Navarra brings a deep passion for innovation and a heartfelt commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive environment where students, staff, and families can thrive. She believes in the power of encouragement, creativity, and connection to inspire learning and growth. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships and helping each child reach their fullest potential.
