Ms. Maureen VirsingerMs. Maureen Virsinger began her career in the Bay Shore School District in July of 2000 soon after graduating from Manhattanville College with a Master's Degree in Organizational Management and Human Resource Development. Ms. Virsinger subsequently attended SUNY Stony Brook’s School of Professional Development where she completed the Educational Leadership Program. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from SUNY Empire State College and an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Ulster County Community College.

Before joining the Bay Shore School District, Ms. Virsinger oversaw the financial operations of various public and private organizations, in particular the Onteora Central School District where she managed the accounting responsibilities including purchasing, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial statement maintenance. She was responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and State Education reporting. She also served as Tax Collector for several years.

Ms. Virsinger has completed the various strands of the New York State Association of School Business Officials, including the prestigious SBO Leadership Academy. Her extensive knowledge of business operations has served the District well with 23 successfully passed budgets in the same number of years. Ms. Virsinger has managed more than $100 million in building projects and was instrumental in the planning, development and construction of the Bay Shore Pre Kindergarten Center.
