Mr. Robert Torres
Mr. Robert Torres graduated from New York University with a degree in Economics and went on to work in commercial banking as a systems analyst in the New York City financial district. Pursuing his interest in the law and law enforcement, Mr. Torres joined the State University Police Department at Stony Brook as a patrol officer, where he gained valuable experience and insight into safety and security in an educational setting.During his career in law enforcement, Mr. Torres attended Touro Law School, earning a Juris Doctorate degree in 1996. Upon graduating law school and successfully passing the New York State Bar exam, Mr. Torres joined the Nassau County Legal Aid Society for a short period before accepting a lead position at the Bay Shore Schools.
Mr. Robert Torres is currently the District Director of Student Services, Central Registration and Security, where he oversees a wide variety of matters related to students, faculty, staff, and visitors alike.
