Mrs. Rivera began her career with Bay Shore School District in 2009, serving as the Education and Behavior Consultant. In 2014, Mrs. Rivera transitioned into the role of Assistant Director of Pupil Personnel Services, working closely with students, families and staff to support inclusive and individualized learning experiences. 

Academically, Mrs. Rivera holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and Psychology from Stony Brook University, a Master of Science in Special Education from Dowling College, and Certificates of Advanced Studies in Building and District Educational Leadership from LIU Post. 

Throughout her career, Mrs. Rivera has demonstrated a strong foundation in leadership, student support, and collaboration.  Mrs. Rivera believes that each student deserves a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment in which to learn and grow.  As the proud Principal of Bay Shore’s Pre-Kindergarten Center, Mrs. Rivera is committed to working closely with teachers, families, and community members to support each student’s growth; academically, socially, and emotionally.
