Dr. Michelle Stowers

Dr. Michelle Stowers began her career as an educator in Bay Shore 27 years ago. This is Dr. Stowers’ tenth year as an administrator in Bay Shore. Prior to becoming principal, she has had many leadership experiences including assistant principal of Mary G. Clarkson School, assistant principal of Brook Avenue School, assistant principal of South Country School, and director of the Eastern Suffolk BOCES Summer Enrichment Program at Bay Shore for ten years.


Dr. Stowers believes strongly in collaborative leadership that supports a school environment of lifelong learning. Dr. Stowers’ educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Pace University with minors in Spanish and history, a Master’s of Science in Teaching from Pace University, a Master’s of Science in Educational Technology from Queens College, a Master’s of Arts in Educational Administration and Supervision from Adelphi University, and a Doctorate from Hofstra University in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.

Dr. Stowers is a visionary leader who is dedicated to providing Bay Shore students with a rewarding educational experience and a quality education. She is excited to bring passion, enthusiasm and level of experience that will help to cultivate the unique educational programs that Fifth Avenue School has to offer.
